Anamorphot CINE

This set of anamorphic prime lenses from SLR Magic includes a 35mm, a 50mm, and a 70mm lens. The lenses provide a 1.33x horizontal squeeze, which creates a 2.35:1 aspect ratio on a 16:9 sensor. The lenses feature a PL mount and incorporate a mask within the lens to create flaring more akin to a 2x anamorphic lens.

What lenses are Anamorphot Adapters compatible with?

To achieve the much loved 2.35:1 scope aspect ratio, which gives a very pleasant, epic effect, filmmakers must crop off the top and bottom of standard 16:9 footage when using spherical lenses with modern digital cameras. As a result, 25% of sensor negative information is discarded.

Anamorphic Adapters

Anamorphic lens adapters attach to the front of a prime lens to create a true anamorphic effect. This gives users the classic 2.35:1 aspect ratio using cameras with standard 16:9 or 4:3 sensors

  • 1,33x - 40 (compact)

    The SLR Magic Anamorphot-40 1.33x works with lenses that have a front element physically no larger than 40mm in diameter. For full-frame sensors, SLR Magic recommends that the Anamorphot-40 1.33x be used with 40mm or longer focal length lenses; it is compatible with select wider lenses when using S35 and Micro Four Thirds sensors.

  • 2,0x - 50 Adapter

    The SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 2.0x Anamorphic Adapter allows you to expand your creative horizons, enabling you to capture footage with a 2.66:1 aspect ratio on your camera with a 4:3 sensor. This results in an image that out of the camera will look distorted as if your subjects were stretched taller and thinner than normal. This is easily corrected in the post with virtually any modern NLE.

  • 1,33x - 65 Adapter

    The compact SLR Magic Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter is designed to work with lenses with a front element size of up to 65mm in diameter. This 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter sports a rear thread size of 82mm, and features an internal focus design. The Anamorphot-65 has a minimum close focus of four feet, and can accept 112mm threaded filters and diopters.

HyperPrime 10mmT2.1

Joining the other MFT mount SLR Magic HyperPrime is the 10mm T2.1 HyperPrime Cine Lens. Designed specifically for use with MFT mount cameras with Four Thirds sized sensors the lens strikes a useful balance between size, form, and function. The 10mm lens features sharp images exhibiting little corner and edge distortion, even when the iris is at its maximum opening of T2.1.

APO MicroPrime 25mmT2.1

The APO MicroPrime 25mm T2.1 Lens from SLR Magic offers apochromatic capture in a lighter-weight, cine-style form. With a 46mm image circle projection, this wider Canon EF-mount lens is suitable for use with 8K cameras with high-resolution full-frame sensors. Its apochromatic elements are designed to correct color aberrations often seen in high-contrast images or shots captured with wide-open apertures.

1.33x - 65 Adapter

The Anamorphot-65 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter is optimized to work with the Fujinon MK zoom range and is also compatible with 82mm-threaded SLR Magic MicroPrimes. Unlike a cropped "anamorphic" image obtained with a spherical lens, this adapter enables you to utilize the total area of your camera's sensor.
